PGC Controls was
involved from start to finish in the design and commissioning of the whole system. The
system comprises of 15 Allen Bradley PLC5 programmable logic controllers, a total of 5500
I/O with ethernet and data highway plus communications. The project took 2 years to final
acceptance - opening 2 months ahead of schedule. Completed September 1997.
P.G.C Controls carried out an extensive upgrade of Brisbane international airport Baggage
handling control room system. Upgrading the SCADA system and control room networking.
Replaced reporting system with Access database total redundancy system, utilising ODBC and
Nett DDE data handling. Completion and acceptance for preliminary works March 20 1999.
